IP Lawyer – Associate, Senior Associate or Managing Associate.
Our law firm client is seeking to appoint a seasoned 3 PQE + IP lawyer to work in their Devon or new Cornwall technology office.
Ideally you should be familiar with some of the following work.
Commercial law including drafting contract, contract negotiation, managing legal risk and strategic advice including:
o E-commerce
o Consumer regulation compliance advice
o Fulfilment platforms
o Hosting services
o Customer and supplier agreements
o Manufacturing
o Supply chain
o Logistics and storage
o End of business relationship advice
• Intellectual property and brand licensing
o Licensing brand and get up (both high value bespoke one-off licences and international franchise arrangements)
o Co-promotion
o Co-existence
o Brand protection and management
• Image rights
o Acting both for talent and implementing image right structures and also for business engaging with talent
o Advising brands on the use of social media including engagement of influencers in connection with campaigns
• Advertising and sales promotion
o Brand partnership and sponsorship agreements
o Loyalty schemes
o Agreements to facilitate marketing activities
o Agreements with creative agencies, media buying agencies, developers and talent
o Advising on digital activations including social media campaigns
o Advertising regulatory compliance advice
o Advice on prize draws and other gambling-specific advertising rules
o GDPR compliance and anonymization requirements for analysis of consumer data to study trends and behavioural analytics
o Social engagement and event app to promote strategic partners and to promote brand loyalty
• Facilities management
o Advise on tender process and procurement
o Soft facilities management agreements including cleaning, waste disposal and health and safety services
o Hard facilities management agreements including building and equipment maintenance
• Technology
o Suppliers and licensees of software
o Outsourced helpdesk services
o Protecting firmware
o Due diligence process for tracing ownership
o EULAs
o Website terms and privacy policy, portal membership
o Open source advice
• Data protection
o GDPR advice and compliance
o Consumer protection
o Cyber security.
This job could be a work from home opportunity, spending 5/7 days a month in the office.
