Our client’s have a specialist legal department that deals purley with Regulatory Health and Safety client cases.

Safety issues are vitally important for businesses and with significant complex legislation.

Our clients’ lawyers have the ability to deal with most forms of safety legislation and they represent a variety of companies from sole traders to well-known national organisations.

Our ideal selected lawyer candidate will be able to provide clear no-nonsense advice and protection from enforcement action or mitigation as required.

The law on fire safety has undergone significant changes over the last few years, with the implementation of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. Our client law firm acted as an advisory regarding these changes.

From asbestos to zoonoses, our client’s lawyers have a wide-ranging experience of health and safety at work.  Issues including prosecutions, prohibition notices, improvement notices and cautions.

We are seeking to find an Associate Lawyer with additional experience in some of the following:

• Fire safety, arising from day to day activity and from work with fireworks or explosives.
• Systems of work, provision of clothing and PUWER;
• ATV accidents, arising from agricultural and leisure use, including lack of helmets and exposure to pesticides;
• Fairgrounds and entertainment, often involving regulations dealing with electrical supply and wiring;
• Lionising radiation including considerations of justification, risk assessment and medical exposure;
• Accidents in Mines, Quarries and on Railways;
• Workplace transport safety. “About 15 transport accidents happen in the UK each day”.
• Construction including working at heights;
• Lifting and LOLER;
• Risk assessment;
• Highway safety, including repair and obstruction as well as auto accident injuries;
• Dangerous substances and DSEAR. Our civil lawyers deal with dangerous ingredients in food, dangerous components in products and we have more than one asbestos law;
• Trading standards: loan sharks, product safety & recall, counterfeiting, weights & measures, pricing, OFT and competition;
• Advanced Administrative and Public Law;
• Advance Food safety work;
• Environmental law including Carbon emissions and utility regulation;
• Licensing: firearms, alcohol, transport and gambling;
• Traffic Commissioner Inquiries (VOSA).
