We are looking for a candidate that has paralegal experience either in:
Family
Private Client
Socially aware and sympathetic towards those less fortunate and who are at risk.
Paralegal – Court of Protection.
To assist in the provision of administrative legal services for clients;
To assist client with legal advice;
Take notes in meetings;
Attend clients in their home, care home and hospital;
Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate;
Work as an important part of the team directed by the partner;
Receive cases from other partners of the firm and lawyers;
Provide efficient and friendly behaviour to the clients as this role involves client contact;
Produce plain English letters, witness statements, court applications and other documents that will be required;
Make regular payments to clients and keep accurate schedules of these payments;
Forecast forward payments and spending plus create budgets;
Day to day contact with clients and note their lifestyle requirements;
Corresponding with all parties, drafting legal documents, liaising with the professional Deputy and administering the financial affairs of the incapacitated individual;
Investigating potential wrongdoing by the person previously entrusted to deal with the incapacitated client
Corresponding with the courts and the other side, preparing trial bundles and liaising wit litigation solicitors;
Manage professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties;
Maintain client care standards as set out in the firm’s terms of business and office manual;
Continue to develop your legal ability.
