Our special client is a leading West Country law firm, with a strong reputation for providing an excellent service that is laced with both quality and innovation.

Our client’s expert Commercial Litigation team works within the successful Dispute Resolution group which seamlessly integrates strategically alongside the Employment, Media Litigation and Property Teams.  Our client lawyers advise on a full range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes and tortuous disputes.

Work comes from a wide-range of industry sectors including – tourism, information technology, telecoms, retail, media, energy, sport, pharmaceuticals, mining, agriculture, bio-agriculture, office, manufacturing, construction and ocean fishing corporations.

Our client is well known for:-

  • Domestic commercial litigation in all divisions of the High Court.
  • Substantial multi-jurisdictional.
  • Fraud and asset tracing.
  • Regulatory and government issues, also disputes.
  • Conducting investigations and independent enquiries.
  • Mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

We have been retained on a sole agency basis to find for our client a Commercial Litigation Lawyer with between 1-5 years+ PQE.

Ideally the candidate will be seeking their second appointment and will have ambitions of making  Associate within 2/5 years.

The role will involve commercial litigation, arbitration and other legal specialities of dispute resolution.   You will be working as a member in a small team, enabling you to develop higher levels of responsibility very quickly.  Our client recognises that it is important for a trainee associate to develop a broad-base of work expertise before finally deciding upon management specialisation.

Our client ensures that their trainee associate will spend time working on a variety of legal work matters.  Trainee associates are positively encouraged from day one to participate and develop skills in both business development and marketing activities.

Commercial Litigation solicitors with at least one year’s post qualification experience gained from a well regarded law firm or team will be of great interest to us.  Candidates with this experience and that have a genuine interest in developing expertise in general commercial litigation, advanced alternative dispute resolution and mediation matters will be of particular interest to our client.

You will possess:

  • Strong academic record with a good degree classification.
  • Excellent people skills, clear communication style, detail driven and thorough in approach.
  • Effective team player, able to work effectively in an established close-knit team.
  • Desire to be proactively be involved with business development and marketing.
  • An ability to handle client contact from the outset.
  • A commercial and pragmatic outlook.
