Job: IP Lawyer/Paralegal

Our client a brilliant law firm that has a subsidiary engineering development business is seeking to appoint an IP Lawyer Paralegal to work on both law firm and in-house business.

We are seeking to find a law graduate with engineering and or electronic work experience.

A newly qualified solicitor with an engineering degree or coming from an engineering/IT background

An engineer with a law degree looking to become an IP lawyer with a specialism in Engineering, Electronic Components and IT

A candidate with ILEX level 6 and possesses an Engineering/IT/Electronics interest.

IP lawyer with 2/4PQE.

The Work:

• Develop IP protection strategies for patents and trademarks;
• Draft SEC filings;
• Draft licensing and distribution agreements;
• Advise on IP litigation and settlements;
• Invention capture with with patent attorneys in relation to patent specifications for filing;
• Draft and negotiated commercial contracts;
• Draft and negotiated IT Systems, Services and Software contracts;
• Draft IP and IT agreements;
• Advise on Data Protection issues, strategy and breaches;
• Draft trademark guide;
• Develop and present to clients and inhouse Directors;
• Assisted with budgets and planning for legal spend;
• Assist Business and Platform Business Units with IP related queries.
