Description
The role – We are seeking to recruit a confident and technically accomplished Associate or Senior Associate to support the growth of our busy Family team. Based in our Devon office, you will work directly with the Head of Department and assume responsibility for handling complex work including High New Worth divorce and finance cases, and private children proceedings. You will have already gained considerable experience in these types of matters, and have developed a strong reputation locally with a variety of clients and business networks. Responsible for supervising junior members of the Exeter team, we will also expect you to take a key role in supporting and developing the wider Family team, increasing our presence within the market through your positive and proactive approach to business development. By joining us, you will become part of an enthusiastic and forward thinking team, with access to great quality work, some of which may require intermittent travel to London and our client’s other offices.

About You – With an exemplary reputation for high quality, complex Family work in or around Exeter, you will readily demonstrate your ability to work calmly and with professionalism across this challenging field of law. Passionate about securing the best outcomes for your clients, you are a Resolution Accredited Specialist and have sound working knowledge of private children law and proceedings. You are an excellent communicator who readily gains the confidence of clients you are working with, and as such you may have begun developing your own client following or established key contacts. Naturally resilient, you already show your ability to cope with stressful and demanding situations and are accustomed to working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. Tenacious and thorough with good commercial judgment, you have gained a good understanding of businesses and pensions through your work, in order to provide exceptional service to your clients.
