Job Information | • IP Lawyer Cornwall – Devon Our law firm client is looking to hire an IP lawyer who has 2/3 years + solid: Life Sciences, Computing and Electrical work experience including both Soft and Hard exposure. IP work can be divided into two main areas: so-called ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ intellectual property. ‘Hard’ intellectual property generally relates to registered intellectual property rights such as patents, registered trademarks and registered designs, while ‘soft’ intellectual property includes things like copyright, unregistered trademarks, unregistered design rights, database rights, trade secrets, confidential information and passing off. Our IP lawyer will have advised on issues ranging from commercial exploitation to infringement disputes, and agreements that deal either exclusively with IP or with IP rights in the wider context of larger commercial transactions. The future appointed Lawyer/Associate should have a technical science background and are slightly dedicated towards Hard IP matters, advising on both domestic and European issues across a variety of sectors, including Life Sciences, Computing and Electrical content. We are seeking to find a lawyer that has a keen interest and some experience in business development and marketing. The law firms the work could be described as “broad”, you will get the opportunity to work with a partner and other fee-earners. It is essential that you are comfortable as a team player, but can self-motivate. You should also be expecting to progress in the firm during a 5/10 year spread.
